Each week, you will be responsible for posting to the blog. The blog is where you will show your homework and reflect on your papers. You will be required to interact with your peers, and to remain courteous at all times.
Blogs are graded as follows:
1. Participation: blogs must be posted on time.
2. Following directions: while you may contribute additional comments or links, your primary goal in posting should be to satisfy the assignment requirements.
3. Remaining respectful of your classmates.
Each blog will be different. You will receive feedback from the instructor, but the primary purpose of the blogs is to receive feedback from your community of students. Ask questions of each other, and be thoughtful in your responses.
For this week's assignment, simply reply to this blog so that I know you are ready to get started.

ReplyDelete- 3 Read Process of Malcolm X -
ReplyDeleteThe 3 read process I would describe as a labored reading process. My eyes/mind naturally kept reading the 2nd and 3rd sentence of each paragraph. I would have to catch myself and force myself to stop reading between the 1st and last sentence. There were some instances the 1st and last sentence weren't enough to discern the paragraph. Example: paragraph 4, last sentence,pg 1001: "Pretty Soon, I would have quit even those motions, unless I had received the motivation that I did". I was asking, what motions? What was the motivator? What was he motivated to do? I understand there are exceptions to every rule, but I didn't like that just the same.
I want to say this process isn't for me but I suspect it required a conscious effort simply because I am not used to it. I see how the process would be useful, especially if one has a large load of reading to do, so I'm not going to knock it just yet. I will try it a few more times and then determine if I am partial to the process.
